Welcome to the website of the Warwickshire Branch of LIFESAVERS, The Royal Life Saving Society UK

Find out more about Life Saving at our Life Saving Open Day
taking place at Warwick School Sports Centre
on Saturday 24th January 2009 between 1pm and 3pm.

The idea of the event is to provide a taster session for those who may be interested in getting involved in life saving as an activity through local clubs and organisations. Life Saving is a fun and challenging activity that takes many forms, allowing participants to gain recognised awards and qualifications, some that are vocational qualifications which can be used for employment.
Life Saving is a recognised sport and offers the opportunity to compete locally, nationally and at events worldwide in a range of disciplines. It teaches skills that may one day help to save a life, but most of all it promotes a healthy life style, encourages team work and is great fun too!

This introductory event is open to any competent swimmer who is able to swim 25m, is capable of swimming confidently and unaided in deep water (2.5m), and is aged 8 years or over.

This session is being offered free of charge (subject to prior registration and parental permission).

The event will be fully supervised by qualified lifeguards and all trainers / staff are CRB (Police) checked.

To register a place, e-mail openday@warwicklsc.co.uk with your name (child's name if appropriate), address, contact phone number and e-mail address and a registration form will be sent out to you.
